SCHEDULE
Saturday, June 24
9:30 – 10:30a – On-Site Registration, Medical Check and Weigh-Ins at Island View Beach.
10:45a – Beach Wrestling Rules Meeting
11:00a – BEACH WRESTLING BEGINS @ ISLAND VIEW BEACH AT RATHBUN LAKE, IOWA

PLEASE NOTE: SUNDAY will be the emergency make-up day for the competition in case of inclement weather. Sessions and schedule are subject to change. We will make EVERY EFFORT to conduct the tournament on Saturday, RAIN OR SHINE! Moving to Sunday will be a last resort, only if severe weather compromises athlete safety.

USAW Members (Age Group): $25 Online Registration | $30 On-Site Registration
USAW Non-Members (Age Group): $45 On-Site Registration*
USAW Members (Seniors/Masters): $30 Online Registration | $40 On-Site Registration**

* Includes purchase of $15 Limited Folkstyle Athlete Membership for single-event use.

** Senior/Master Level Athletes & All Coaches: You must obtain valid USAW Membership (Including completed background check and SAFESPORT Certification Course) prior to registration. Please allow 5-7 days for background check processing!

Scoring Summary

• One 3-minute period with no overtime
• First wrestler to THREE points is declared the winner
• 1 point is the awarded to:
  • the wrestler who manages to bring ANY of his opponent’s body part to the ground, except the hands.
  • the wrestler who manages to bring ANY of his opponent’s body part out of the competition area.
  • the wrestler whose opponent has received a caution for illegal action.
• 3 points are awarded to:
  • the wrestler who manages to expose his opponent’s back to the ground during a takedown or a throw.
• Criteria for match tied during regulation: 1. Highest value action 2. Last to score
• Wrestling surface is a 23 ft in diameter circle

A brief rules meeting for all participants/officials/spectators will be held prior to the start of wrestling.

Contestants are randomly drawn and a one pool/double elimination system will be employed for the event. Weight classes for all divisions other than Seniors/Masters will be determined after weigh-ins have concluded.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS: Each champion will be rewarded a Black Pearl as the event trophy.
